Picture this: It’s early morning, the sun just peeking over the horizon, the ocean glassy and inviting. You’re pulling on your swimsuit, excited to paddle out. But there it is again—that nagging thought. Where do I hide my key? You’ve tried it all—tying it to your bikini string (risky), hiding it in the sand (even riskier), or tucking it into a board waxed with regret. And that’s just the beginning. Your suit? It looks cute on land but betrays you on your first duck dive. One awkward wipeout, and you’re scrambling to adjust yourself before anyone notices. Why was it so hard to find a surf suit that actually stays on—and has a pocket for your key?
It was a question I kept asking, over and over. And the more I talked to other women in the lineup, the more I realized I wasn’t alone. Guys had key loops in their boardshorts—why didn’t we? Why were we still dealing with nip slips, see-through fabrics, and fast-fashion suits that barely lasted a season?
One day, after another frustrating surf session, I knew something had to change. If no one else was going to create a surf suit that actually worked for women, then I would. And so, the journey of SunDaze Surf began.
I went through so many prototypes—too tight, too loose, wrong fabric, missing details. Sizing? A whole other challenge. There’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all surf suit, but I wanted to make something that truly fit and flattered as many women as possible. Then there were the supply chain struggles, the self-doubt, the moments where I wondered, Will people even love this as much as I do?
But then, the turning point came. I realized that perfection wasn’t the goal—progress was. I decided to just go for it, launch my first collection, and let my community guide the way. I listened to every DM, every piece of feedback, every comment from women who finally felt seen and heard. And that’s when SunDaze truly became more than just a surf brand—it became a movement.
SunDaze is about connection. It’s about bringing women together through their love of the ocean. I want to take this further—bigger community events, more surf trips, and continuously innovating to create the best, most sustainable surf wear out there.
When I look to the future of SunDaze, I see more than just suits and sales. I see dawn patrol groups forming in coastal communities around the world, women introducing themselves with, "I love your SunDaze! Want to catch a few waves together?" I see our community growing not just in numbers but in connection and impact.
We're paddling toward a future where SunDaze stands alongside the biggest names in surf wear, proving that sustainability and community don't have to be sacrificed for success. We're creating pieces that aren't just worn but loved—conversation starters, confidence boosters, and reliable companions for countless ocean adventures.
Imagine waking up tomorrow knowing exactly where your key will be when you're in the water. Picture yourself catching sight of your reflection as you carry your board to the shore and feeling a surge of confidence rather than self-consciousness. That's the feeling we're spreading, one surf suit at a time.
The ocean has always been a place of connection—to nature, to ourselves, and to each other. At SunDaze, we're simply making it easier for more women to experience that connection, without distraction, without worry, and with a whole lot of style.
Come ride with us. The water's glassy, your key is secure, and there's a community waiting to welcome you.
